Application Development and Support Engineer

To work at client site or with their IT Team @ Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority- 3 to 5 Years.

Qualification & Responsibilities:

  • Expertise with design and support of Ellipse including integration with other third-party systems
  • Expertise in Infor product design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Expertise in design and development services for web applications
  • Expertise in design and development services for application using the QuickBase environment
  • Experience developing dashboards with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau
  • Experience developing software using .NET, C#, VB .NET and SQL Server
  • Experience in web development not limited to C#, JavaScript, jQuery, React, Bootstrap, NodeJS
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs
  • Experience developing software using Python
  • Experience with Crystal Reports
  • Experience with Citrix
  • Experience developing in R
  • Experience developing and automating solutions in PowerShell and bash
  • Experience managing the complete software development lifecycle
  • Experience developing mobile applications as embedded web application or native apps for Android and IOS
  • Commvault Application support
  • Splunk development and support

To handle agency scope of work-in IT/ Technical areas; including, but not limited to, network/infrastructure, desktop and hardware support, communications, application and middleware software and data. Note, the NFTA operational landscape refers to all operational divisions; Metro and Aviation, and enterprise functions/disciplines (i.e. Finance, Procurement, HR, etc.).

Expertise/ help to handle:

  • Design and support of Ellipse including integration with other third-party systems
  • Design and support of Infor applications including integration with other third-party systems
  • Design and development services for web applications
  • Design and development services for application using the QuickBase environment
  • Develop dashboards with tools such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau
  • Develop applications that are specific to transit providers
  • Develop software using .NET, C++, VB .NET and SQL Server
  • Develop web applications using .NET, C#, VB .NET, JavaScript, jQuery, React, Bootstrap, NodeJS
  • Develop RESTful APIs using C# or Python (Django or Flask)
  • Develop analytics solutions using R
  • Develop mobile applications as embedded web application or native apps for Android and IOS
  • Develop PowerShell scripts for automation of administration
  • Commvault Application support
  • Splunk system monitoring and support
  • Splunk dashboard development
