LOCATION: Albany, NY – Onsite
Grants Management System – The grants bureau has been using an out-of-date grants warehouse to store data related to grants and applicants. This system must be updated as support is discontinued, and the system is failing. In addition to a new warehouse, the system must be integrated with grants gateway application as the Parks team uses the system for grants management.
Revenue Application – This project will redesign and reengineer the current Revenue Application System using modern and supported hardware and software platforms, consolidating common system processes and leveraging automation to streamline the business processes.
Qualifications
- Software Developer – Is involved with all facets of the software development process, including the research, design, programming, testing, and implementation of computer software.
- Expert 84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has the extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
- 84 months of experience developing a complex business system using the Microsoft .NET Framework including ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, C#, and Entity Framework
- 84 months of experience developing a complex business system using the .Net Web API
- 84 months experience in developing REST web services, utilizing the HATEOAS architecture implementation of REST
- 84 months of experience consuming and displaying data retrieved from REST service in a web-based business application.
- 24 months of experience working on projects for the public sector/government.
Day-to-Day tasks - The position will be a Software Developer on the Revenue & Grants projects, developing .Net components, REST services as well as MS SQL stored procedures based on design specifications.
