Qualifications
Managerial Grade E Technical Manager position requires a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Art degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
Experience
Managerial Grade E Technical Manager position requires 5 to 10 years of project, design, and construction management in the transportation industry
Skills
Licensing Requirements: License Engineer or Architect is required
Special Skills/Training Requirements
- Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and other Computer Applications
- Familiarity with Asite
- Knowledge of agency capital program policies related to design/construction management and program administration.
- Knowledge of agency’s operations and facilities is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills is a must
- Design-Build project experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with complex systems projects in the transportation or government sectors is preferred
- Knowledge of codes and standards
- Ability to coordinate with multiple internal stakeholders within the agency
Responsibilities
Managerial Grade E Technical Manager position requires
- Management of the Asite project management process
- Provide input Development of an External Partner Program
- Management of a complete project life cycle including internal design reviews, technical staff, construction oversight and close-out
- Solve design-based issues/conflicts and elevate to senior management when
- Coordinate with the Transit Oriented Development group to manage the early design, scope, and constructability of developer
- Coordinate with the Adjacency group for all Developer and Public Agency
- Track and validate program metrics data in the Asite project management system and manage incorporation into effective dashboard
- Suggest areas for streamlining and improvement of processes for incorporation in EPP’s program
- Provide input into Weekly and Monthly reporting
- Additional tasks as required by the PCEO
