Job Title: Power BI Developer Consultant
Job Summary: The School District seeks an experienced Power BI Developer Consultant to build a District Data Dashboard using Microsoft Power BI. The consultant will assign a full-time team member to the project who will be responsible for creating and managing the District’s Data Dashboard. The ideal candidate should have proficiency in Power BI, prior experience building Data Dashboards, and knowledge of education data. The consultant should be available to work during the hours of 8 AM – 4 PM Eastern Standard Time. The consultant should provide examples of previously built dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and may be required to provide a demonstration of the dashboard at a later date.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the District team to identify the necessary data points to be included in the Data Dashboard.
- Design, develop and implement a user-friendly Data Dashboard that can be easily understood by all stakeholders.
- Create data visualizations and reports that provide insights into the District’s data trends and performance.
- Ensure that the Data Dashboard is functional, secure, and user-friendly.
- Train and assist District staff in the use of the Data Dashboard.
- Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for the Data Dashboard.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience building Data Dashboards.
- Knowledge of education data.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability during the hours of 8 AM – 4 PM Eastern Standard Time.
Preferred: • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Previous experience working with educational institutions.
- Previous experience working remotely.
- Microsoft Power BI Certification.
The consultant will be responsible for delivering high-quality work that meets the School District’s expectations. The consultant will work closely with the School District team to ensure that the Data Dashboard is functional, secure, and user-friendly. The consultant will be expected to provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for the Data Dashboard. The consultant will be compensated according to their experience and qualifications. The contract length will be 3 years.
