Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the execution of a novel strategy for genomic modulation of ex vivo cell populations.
- Transversally collaborate across the company to support the building of a cell engineering portfolio in the Genomic Unit.
- Support and lead development of next-generation genome editing and gene therapy tools to strongly position Creative Biogene as a leader in ex vivo gene therapy space.
- Responsible for applying scientific expertise and judgment to initiate, design and execute experiments in a time-sensitive manner.
- Act as an impactful contributor to project teams and transverse initiatives.
- Provide informal mentoring to junior scientists in the team.
- Foster creativity, productivity, execution with a sense of urgency, scientific integrity and accountability.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in biological science plus minimum 3 years of relevant research experience in an academic or biopharmaceutical setting.
- Prior experience involving genome editing applications required.
- Genome editing and/or gene therapy experience with ex vivo immune cell populations (such as T- and NK-cells) preferred.
- Experienced, results-oriented, with a track record of significant contribution to research projects and peer-reviewed publications.
- Demonstrated ability to independently design, execute, interpret and present experimental results.
- Experience in preparing high-quality documents including technical reports, presentations, SOPs, experimental protocols and regulatory filings.
- Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced industry and work environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
