Length of assignment: 3-6 mos.

Job Description:

Client is a Hadoop Security Solution provider who works with clients who are generally implementing Horton works. They ensure that Hadoop is set up in a secure fashion, including the installation of Kerberos, Knox, etc. They recently were signed on by a client in Idaho, and are short on bandwidth. They are looking for a consultant who has a strong background in UNIX, and is a Hadoop admin with multiple projects installing Hadoop security. Kerberos is a must, and if they have Knox, LDAP, or Ranger, that would be a plus as well. The client anticipates the project running between 3-6 months, and if it goes well, they would utilize this resource on follow on projects.

Musts:

Hadoop Admin

UNIX experience

Kerberos

Plus:

Apache Knox

Voltage – probably won’t find anyone with this

Apache Ranger

The client also said if we had a consultant who was an expert in HBase who came from a Java background, he would be interested in seeing those resumes as well. This consultant would be a developer for Hadoop and HBase.
