Job Description

We are currently looking for APM Level II – Technical Writer.

Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a technical field such as engineering with a focus on English, writing, or communications  Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill  Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills  Experience in presenting technical information in a live setting, such as classroom training, presentations, or video conference

Experience Requirements: 5-7 years of experience required

Project Description: Investigation and Remediation of Petroleum-Contaminated Soils and Groundwater at sites (as per the requirements of the General Consent Order negotiated between city agencies)

Licensing Requirements: None

Special Skills/Training Requirements: Experience working with government agencies.  Ability to analyze and synthesize complex content. Strong technical aptitude, ability to quickly learn new concepts and tools.  Ability to write clearly and succinctly for multiple audiences using either formal or more casual tones.  Excellent work ethic and strong intellectual curiosity.  Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and multi-task.  Desire and ability to innovate and improve upon current processes.  Track record of effective collaboration.  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and proofreading skills is a must  Strong analytic problem solving and interpersonal skills  Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Applications including SharePoint, Word, Excel & PowerPoint.

Other Work Requirements: Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements  Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience  Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities  Create and maintain the information architecture  Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents  Write, format, edit, review, and proof procedural and technical information for technical and nontechnical users  Experience in presenting technical information in a live setting, such as classroom training, presentations, or video conference.
