Job Description
DURATION: 30 Months
LOCATION: Albany, NY
Qualifications:
- Project manager – Plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.
- Project Management Professional Certification
- Strong technical background with demonstrated ability to understand system design and development
- Ability to conduct meetings with senior agency executives
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 60 months of experience with CRM technology platforms (i.e. Oracle Service Cloud, MS Dynamics, Salesforce)
- Senior 60 – 84 months: Candidate is able to work independently, without assistance and provides guidance to others. May have an advanced education.
- 60 Months of experience managing enterprise level projects, preferably in the public sector
- 36 months of experience managing stakeholders and coordinating activities across different organizations or state agencies
- 60 Months of experience working with project management tools (i.e., Word, Excel, Visio, MS Project, Smartsheet, and Powerpoint)
- 60 months of experience gathering, documenting, monitoring, and reviewing requirements and managing requirements traceability matrices
- 60 Months of experience developing project plans/schedules, work breakdown structures, risk management plans, communications plans, issue management, change management and project issue reporting
Day-to-Day tasks:
- Coordinate activities between the ITS, OGS Shared Services, business users, and vendors and deliver key project artifacts.
- Project Charter
- Requirements Documentation
- Requirements Traceability Matrix
- Create and maintain the following:
- Project Schedule/Plan to include WBS
- Project Scope
- RAID Log and Tracker
- Prepare a budget for projects.
- Conduct meetings.
- Establish professional relationships.
- Provide the leadership skills necessary to control the execution of the project tasks.
- Monitor all project activities and ensure timely and within-budget quality products.
- Responsibility for the successful delivery of products.
- Communicate and interact with mid and senior-level staff.
- Follow Project Management as determined by the agency.
- Participate in Change Management planning and meetings.
- Define purpose, scope, and objects for projects.
- Gather, document, and monitor project requirements.
