Job Description
Assistant Civil Engineer
As part of temporary staffing services ezelogs.com a construction management software is requesting resumes for Assistant Civil Engineer with the following requirements.
Qualifications
- Baccalaureate Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college
Experience
- At least 2 years of related practical experience in the field of Civil/Structural Engineering;
- In lieu of 1 year of experience, a Baccalaureate degree and a Master’s degree, both in Civil Engineering from accredited colleges will be considered.
Skills
- Familiarity with Civil/Utility design, construction, and construction methods;
- Knowledge of Personal Computer applications related to design and construction management;
- Knowledge of Civil Engineering standards and practices
- Knowledge of CADD;
- Familiarity with rail/transit operations and practices, and mass transit facilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills;
Responsibilities
Under supervision, the selected candidate will be responsible to prepare scopes of work, Civil/Utility design contract drawings and specifications. Review construction shop drawings, and submittals. Perform Civil/Utility field inspections and surveys for engineering work in connection with ascertaining the physical condition and material properties of existing infrastructure. Assignments will focus on various rail/transit right-of-way structures, stations, and facilities within the planned limits of capital repair, renewal, and/or replacement projects. Multiple assignments may progress simultaneously.
