Assistant Architect

Qualifications Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Architecture from an accredited college

Experience Requirements: Minimum I year of experience in the field of Architecture is required

Special Skills/Training Requirements: Ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications. Ability to communicate effectively with excellent written, communication and computer (MS Office Suites) skills.

Description of Work: The responsibilities include field inspection of architectural work performed by the contractor to ensure that it complies with contract documents. Monitor safety to make sure that all personnel, contractor’s and subcontractor’s as well as Agency strictly comply with all safety requirements. Candidate will be required to perform, but not limit to, the review of shop drawings and as-built drawings, inspection/coordination of contractual site work to ensure that the contract requirements are met, assist in the review of monthly partial payments, development of scope of work and estimate’s for additional work orders, coordinate Labor Services, prepare field observation reports, daily progress reports and assist in resolving all architectural field issues.
